Saturday

Saturday. What a day. Most of the time I look forward to Saturday, hoping to catch a little rest. Often enough it doesn't work out that way. Today was somewhat busy, but not overly stressful. Here are a few of my favorite things I look forward to on Saturday:

1. no alarm clock

2. time to play

3. not following a rigid schedule

4. eating junk food

5. maybe time to read

6. catch up on blogging

7. relax

8. watch a little TV

9. a little of this

10. and a little of that

Silver. The word has a certain ring to it. Who doesn't love shiny silver? Here are a few of my favorite things about silver:

Strawberries

I have been writing recently about a wonderful activity-picking our own strawberries. Here are a few of my favorite things about these wonderful little berries:

1. beautiful

2. sweet smelling

3. sweet tasting

4. make great jelly

5. make delicious shortcake

6. make wonderful cobbler

7. can be used to add flavor to ice cream

8. super sweet dipped in chocolate

9. fun to pick your own berries

10. reasonably priced, and the taste can't be beat!

Basketball

I played basketball growing up and now my son has been playing. Here are a few of my favorite things about basketball:

1. fun game

2. need very little equipment

3. good for the body

4. good for the mind

5. keeps kids busy and out of trouble

6. gives kids something to watch on TV other than the usual junk that is shown

7. gives kids something to talk about

8. gives kids a good bond with adults (dads and moms alike)

9. teaches kids how to make seeds and brackets (I am sure this is important for some reason!)

10. watching can be a source of motivation for kids to improve their game
