Mr. Toad's Mad Adventures

My daughter is in another summer children's theater program. It is based on The Wind in the Willows, billed as Mr. Toad's Mad Adventures. Here are a few of my favorite things about this production:

1. free-didn't even have to buy slippers!

2. great experience

3. love the costumes-each child is dressed like a different animal

4. the director is great at casting

5. Badger acting like an elderly person

6. the weasels

7. the field mice

8. the foxes

9. seeing some of the kids grow up

10. seeing my daughter be so depended on

Rumors

Last night we went to see the Neil Simon play "Rumors". I've never seen this show before and I really enjoyed it. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. the fast pace

2. the modern setting

3. the physical humor

4. the outright hilarity

5. outlandish

6. over the top

7. sometimes it got so stupid you just have to laugh

8. seeing the young people perform so well and watching their energy rise

9. affordable ticket prices

10. the ending

Curtain Call

My daughter has been involved in community theater for five years now. It is always lots of fun. But when the show is over, it is sometimes a relief as well. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. not going to rehearsal every night

2. saving on gas money

3. more free time

4. not having to get cleaned up and "presentable" every night

5. not rushing around at the last minute

6. not having to have dinner at 5pm

7. not having to have two kids in two places at the same time

8. a quiet night in

9. another great memory created

10. looking forward to the next show
