My daughter just celebrated her fourteenth birthday. She just had a few friends over to spend the night. Here are a few of my favorite things about it:
1. no planning for a birthday party
2. kids entertained themselves
3. she didn't even want me to fix dessert
4. just a handful of girls
5. they all get along well
6. positive peer pressure
7. spent the whole day at the park
8. daughter did all the post party clean up
9. friend from out of town able to come
10. she can take five guests to neighborhood pool
