summer bible reading club

Last summer our congregation started a summer bible reading club. Here are a few of my favorite things about it:

1. reading the bible throughout the summer

2. encouraging kids (little and big) to read the bible over the summer

3. challenging adults to read the bible over the summer

4. seeing kids get excited about reading the bible

5. seeing adults get excited about reading the bible

6. having the congregation work together for such a goal

7. giving kids prizes for reaching certain levels

8. seeing the kids encourage/challenge each other to read

9. seeing the excitement created about a church program

10. learning to love God's Word
