I am often looking for snacks that are bit more healthy than the usual American snacking fare. I have come to love some of these out of the ordinary snacks. Here are a few of my favorites:
1. Just Peas-yes, a packaged brand of dried green peas
2. plantain chips-ok, not really healthy, but a few at a time won't hurt
3. baked sweet potato fries-love'em
4. baked chick peas, with a little seasoning
5. fresh dates-coupled w/ an apple and it's almost like eating a carmel apple
6. fruit smoothie
7. popcorn-either popped on the stove in sunflower oil or air popped and topped w/ flax seed oil
8. homemade granola
9. homemade granola bars
10. boiled eggs
